Summer Bible Camp: June 9-11

Nursery (infant to 3 years old)

At GCPC, we’re delighted to welcome infants and toddlers into the nursery during both the Sunday School hour (9:30-10:30) and the Worship Service (10:45-12:15). The nursery is located on the right side of the main hallway as you move away from the sanctuary. If you’d like to have your child participate, please let a greeter know when you arrive. They’ll guide you to the nursery door, where a volunteer will offer you a registration form. For questions about the nursery, please contact our coordinator, Michelle Briggs.

Children’s Worship

Every Sunday, children ages 3 through 1st grade are invited to participate in a special time just for kids!

What to expect: Children remain with their parents in the service until just before the congregational prayer and sermon. At that time, an elder will call the kids up to the front, pray for them, and send them off with blessing to Children’s Worship. There, they’ll learn about liturgy (the structure of the worship service), engage in the catechism (questions that help kids learn the basics of the faith), hear a Bible story, learn a hymn, and (of course) have time to play at the end. Our hope is to train young worhsippers to love the Lord with all their hearts, minds, and strength. Parents pick up their children when the main service dismisses. The Children’s Worship room is located on the left side of the hallway as you move away from the sanctuary.

If you’d like to include your child in Children’s Worship, please let a greeter know. They can guide you to the Children’s Worship room, where you’ll fill out a registration form. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Children’s Worship Coordinator, Kristina McClung.

Classes are located on the left side of the hallway as you leave the sanctuary. Please contact our Director of Ministries, Christi Schroader, with any questions.

Will my child be safe at GCPC?

It’s very important to us that everyone in the household of God is kept safe— but especially those among us who are most vulnerable. The church is equipped with security cameras. Each adult volunteer is background-checked, must provide references of character, and undergoes training (including abuse awareness/prevention training). Two volunteers are required in each room for accountability and safety. Each child is given a tag at check-in, and the parent is given a corresponding tag. No child will be released from the nursery or Children’s Worship unless the parent’s tag is presented. If you have any questions about our Child Protection Policies, please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of the above coordinators.
