Covid-19 Safety Procedures

Last Updated October, 2023

At GCPC, we have followed CDC & VDH recommendations throughout the pandemic and we are encouraged that most things have now returned to normal.

While the national emergency has passed, COVID-19 remains an endemic condition much like the flu, so we encourage everyone to follow the advice given to them by their own physicians regarding vaccinations and masking precautions.

The CDC regularly updates its COVID-19 community level map, and Montgomery County has been consistently listed at the “low” level for many months.

The following recommendations always remain in place at GCPC, following CDC & VDH guidelines:

1) Please return home and join us for online worship if you are currently experiencing Covid-19 or flu symptoms. Please also take note of any recent exposures and take necessary precautions, such as masking.

2) We offer a livestream service for those who are shut in, ill, or traveling. The service is also recorded and available on our youtube channel.

3) We offer the fellowship hall space as an overflow and “masks required” space during worship for those who desire it.

4) In the event that Montgomery County returns to a “high” level of spread, we will ask all nursery, Sunday School and Children's Worship volunteers to mask.

5) We ask everyone to respect other’s social-distancing preferences as a mark of love for one another.

6) We encourage everyone to enjoy fellowship together outdoors after the service, or wherever they feel comfortable.

If you have questions, please email Doug Bowman (dougbowman00@gmail.com). Praise God for sustaining us, and bringing us to this point!
